Nelson Bay Marina to Dutchmen's Beach,  walkway around the bay - popular - few steep hills

Nelson Bay to Little Beach Inner Light Tea Rooms - walk around the Bay along Victoria Parade - scenic as well as fairly easy to walk - short steep hill up to Tea Rooms - very popular - parking at top - accessible by ramp as well as stairs.

Look out for the sign to do the Nelson Bay Walking Trail 

Dutchmans Beach 

Dutchies Beach to Bagnalls beach - great beach for dogs 

(off-lead)  - mostly flat - easy walk 

Bagnalls Beach Reserve & Bartlett Cycleway

This is a beautiful paved and easy 2.2 km walk through the trees with Bagnall's Beach running right beside you.

If you're a dog lover and need a doggy fix while on holiday or if you have brought your dog away, this spot is PERFECT for you.

Shoal Bay

Tomaree Head Summit Walk - views over ocean - very popular - fit to very fit as steep climb in parts - start very early in Summer as it can get extremely hot.

Zenith Beach to Wreck beach walk 

Birubi Beach

Beach walk (32 kms) - ocean all the way - you may get wet but it is a much flatter walk. If you are lucky enough, you may see a camel or 2 too.

A leisurely 40 minute drive from Nelson Bay will take you to the Botanic Gardens at Heatherbrae where they offer guided walks around over 130 hectares of land and gardens.
