All funds raised or donated to this group stay in the Tomaree area and are used to support people living in the Tomaree Peninsula with Breast Cancer.

Services are free to the patients and all costs are covered via fundraising and generous donations from local businesses and generous souls. Some of our services include:

• Driving to cancer related medical appointments in the Newcastle/Maitland area

• House cleaning and lawn mowing, 

• Child minding at the discretion of the committee

• Wigs, scarves and bouncing boobies

• Underarm cushions & pack crafted by members

• Any other assistance where possible 

• Telephone & face-to-face support

This charity helps cancer patients get to their appointments in Newcastle, so they don't have to drive themselves.
Originally, everyone had to go down in one van at 9.00am, even if their appointment was at 1.00pm.
Everyone would have to wait till the last one and it was only after they realised one day, that they were halfway home, that they had forgotten someone!

From that mistake, a new system was put in place so individual volunteers would take over and drive people down and back and cater for each individual appointment.

These volunteers are compensated for their fuel and this compensation comes from generous donations.
